Q: How long does it take to write a business plan?
A: Creating a new business plan usually takes about 100 hours depending on the complexity of the business, how much information is provided and the amount of research to be done. Business plans for companies that require no funding may take fewer hours to write.
Q: Is my information and business plan confidential?
A: At the time you choose to hire us to write your business plan or do any consulting you will be asked to sign and return a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement. That guarantees that all of your information will remain confidential and obligates you to keep confidential information you may learn about Bellwind Consultants and its procedures, methods, and work products.
Q: Are payment plans available?
A: Yes. The appropriate retainer can also be considered a down payment. An estimate can be made of the approximate cost to finish the business plan. One half of the estimated remainder after payment of the retainer is to be paid at the completion of the first draft. All remaining fees are to be paid on acceptance of the final draft.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Not at this time. We accept checks, money orders, wire transfers, and ACH.
Q: Do you have a refund policy and if so, what is it?
A: If you are not pleased with the quality at the end of the first draft, you may request a refund of 50% of the retainer. This is the only refund available.
Q: Do you guarantee the success of your business plan?
A: We cannot guarantee success. We provide you a blueprint that will give you what we consider to be your best plan for success. We cannot control the large number of variables that can impact success. If, after reviewing your proposed business, we believe that your proposed business has very little chance of success we will tell you the truth and refund any retainer fees you may have paid.
Q: Do you guarantee that I can get the funding I am seeking?
A: No one can guarantee that. All we can do is to provide the best quality information so that potential funding sources have the information they need to make a decision.
Q: How long is a normal consulting engagement?
A: There is no “normal.” It depends on the purpose of the consulting, what the goals are, and how accepting the company is to change. Sometimes the goal can be accomplished in a few hours; occasionally it can take several weeks or months of daily work; and often it will take only a few hours a week over a period of time.
